Phentom Blot is a Mickey character and kind of outdated as a villain while Magica was always big, in the first DuckTales show too, she's much more likely to show up. They could be saving her as a Big Bad in a later season and/or her appearance will be a surprise.

She seems like the type of big reveal for a major arc.

Even people I know who never saw DT or read the Barks comics know who Magica is. I think it's a safe bet she'll show eventually. I wonder who will play her, though.

I have to say, the new style it's a little weird for me. But all things considered, I believe they actually made a good job with this remake. I see it as an appropiated "upgrade" of a classic. This art style would be perfect to, eventually, bring back Darkwing Duck too.
