Eh, up till we saw Homeworld, breathing problems could have been explained in sufficient capacity.

The Moon base, being a staging area for the Earth colony, could have replicated the air on Earth, which hasn't changed that much in the past few millennia since.
The Human Zoo likely has a oxygen rich atmosphere so that humans that escape the captivity area don't choke to death while in there.
These last 2 episodes completely crashes any consistency.
Given that gems don't need to breathe, there is absolutely no reason why the hollowed out Homeworld would have a breathable atmosphere.

It might have, at some point, but given the plans for the earth colony required hollowing out the surface at least several Thousand Kilometers downward on a planet with only 8 Kilometers of breathable air, and that the Gems have utilized their Homeworld to at least that much extent, any breathable atmosphere would have long since flowed downward to it's core.
Assuming that the gravity of Homeworld is similar to Earth's, and there is no reason to assume that it isn't, there's no way they could have fallen to anywhere near the core without them noticing that the fall was taking an exceptionally long time.

Lars was literally the best choice for this arc. He is by far other than maybe Greg the most prominent and important townie to Steven's growth and despite how he may deny it the one with the greatest connection to him. An arc about how great Connie is has been done like 8 times.

The fact that they didn't fuse was the most surprising part, but what happened was probably 10x more lasting and thoughtful.

I had this weird dream about a SU episode that might or might not exist.

It starts off in the past with some kid seeing news footage of Pearl and falling in love with her.

Years later (a young adult at this point) we see him at Beach city, catching a brief glimpse of Pearl.
Suddenly in a frenzied manner he makes a sketch of her and starts giving out copies and asking if they have seen her.

He's eventually lead to the beach house, looking for Pearl, who is obviously uninterested.

Then shit happens i don't fucking know; it was a dream leave me alone. But basically the guy was persistent and annoying.

Pearl and him are somewhere at the beach. She's in a bit of a rut and the guy shows up to cheer her up.
Here's where the fucked up shit happens.

He says just the right things (possibly what Pearl thinks Rose would have said) and goes nuts for him. He somehow gets knocked unconscious (possibly got brain damage too) but she starts kissing him all over.

She then dances around with his unconscious body before deciding that they MUST get married. She puts him in a beach buggy and starts speeding off a cliff, but be falls out (possibly scraping the shit out of his face) so she stops to get him back and strap him in.

Then she speeds off while mumbling about Rose being back or something, thus finally driving the car off a cliff and falling into the depths of the ocean.

Pearl gets up and is fine, but she's looking for him. She can't find him and the others casually and with no concern at all tell her to stop looking and start being herself again.

The guy probably fucking died.
