I remember a couple a years back there was this big fad to bring back old fan-favorite writers to continue their old runs, stuff like Claremont's X-Men Forever, Furman's Regeneration One, and Hama's Real American Hero.

Where any of them good?
Where any of them terrible enough to be enjoyable as opposed to plain terrible?
If you could have one writer to continue his run in an AU who would it be?

I only remember Claremont's X-Men Forever and it was laughably bad.
Wheezie's X-Factor Forever was alright tho.
