On a choice of choosing between the first 2 volumes of Saga and Saga Vol.1 and Kill or Be Killed Vol.1, how much does /co/ recommend Saga to me?

Everyone tells me it's really good, but if it doesn't rock my boat I'll be getting 2 volumes of something I don't really like.

Saga stared well, but as the story stared to focus and the novelty, haven't read it in a while don't know if it has improved.
