The best Lisa episodes are when she learns from others or when her own mistakes are flipped onto her without everything magically going towards her favour at the end.

Two episodes that come to mind are Lisa's Substitute and The Old Man And The Lisa.

Not remotely fucking true. The straight man has long since been an unnecessary character in comedy. The best comedies realized long ago that audiences are smart enough to pick up on subtle jokes without being explicitly told they are jokes, and pointing it out actively damages the humor.
