The whole point of T'Challa's storyarc is he is breaking the dickish traditional mold of his ancestors.

More than half the conflict in his stories stem from asshole traditionalists who want to go back to being isolationist Wakanda with barbaric traditions.

Case in mind the Black Panther has a the Dora Milje who are meant to be his warrior concubines he can fuck anytime he wants. His dad used them as well and so did his grandfather.

T'Challa broke that tradition of fucking and gave them ceremonial roles of wives. Which one of the Dora Molkgefd didn't like and became some supervillainess.
