Lately I've been getting into starcraft 1 again, and I was wondering
are there any cartoons with a similar kind of gritty scifi feel? I know there's that one cgi starship troopers cartoon, so I'm thinking of checking that out. But any other suggestions would be cool.

Star Wars The Clone Wars is a spectacular cartoon. You don't have to like the franchise to enjoy it. The tone of the show is actually closer to Starcraft than the SW movies. An episode arc (Umbara, pic related) really reminds me of SC.

The tone was all over the place, but I did like when they delved into the lives clone solders like that; even if it did go against the original interpretation of them being mostly mindless people shaped drones.
