There are few alive on this Earth who can remember being in a world without Mickey Mouse.

There are people so old and decrepit they don't even remember their own children but they're sitting there on their death beds clutching Mickey Mouse blankets.

Gamers don't seem to be aware of just how young video games are.

Maybe 50 years from now Mickey will be on his way out due to him not being in anything relevant that isn't for literal infants, but for now, he's still the most iconic cartoon character.

I feel like most kids today don't even know Mickey because there hasn't really been any new popular Mickey content, while Mario is still a big part of the mainstream gaming culture. Seems to me like we live in a time where Donald and Goofy are both probably more well known than Mickey himself.
