I was trying to come up with new possible gadgets for the Arkham games, and when i thought in the sonic batarang, i thought it would be too OP if you could hurt the enemies with it, with a powerful sound that incapacitates them (as seen in Batman v Superman, the first Injustice game and pic related).
I mean, how could the thugs fight against such weapon?. What's stops Batman from using sound as a weapon all the time?. It would make his job a piece of cake.

Yeah, but it's not like it would run out of power fast. Making a powerful sound doesn't seems to be that energetically demanding.

It's not, in Arkham Knight, you can sabotage some enemy device to make it produce a strong sound, that allows you to take down thugs freely until they turn it off. I think it's even more broken during hand to hand fights, because all the enemies are very close from the source of the noise, and while they are holding their ears, Bats kick their ass with no problem.

It's very likely that would work.

That's a good argument for main canon Bats, but knowing that the Arkhamverse Bats doesn't care about the health of the thugs (as long as they stay alive) i think that wouldn't stop him from using it all the time.

Bones heal. Ear drums don't. Arkhamverse Batman is brutal but he's not crippling people.

Sequels of fractures and luxations can be seriously disabling, i think just as much than ending deaf.
