In all the years since viewing it, I have spent many a sleepless nights pondering one inquiry that has yet to be answered despite my countless attempts searching for reason. The answerless riddle seems simple, but if you look in to its abyss, you will be rendered dumb as I was. When Bendy was sent to Foster's home for imaginary friends and proceeded to partake in hapless shenanigans, why did he do so? Most have this notion that Bendy was simply a bad egg, a gormless ruffian with only the goal of making others sorrowful... But, I find this answer lacking. Why would he do so? What would be the ultimate purpose of this? Why would an imaginary friend act so... jesuit in action? Why would the boy that mentally birthed him design such a being? Was Bendy imagined to be a cretin? I would doubt it. Though his creator was seen only for a few moments, the boy seemed sorrowful that his creation was being taken from him. He seemed woeful and made upset by the whole ordeal and, from this, I glean that he was not designed for the reasons stated prior. My theory, though unprooven as of yet in the universe's cannon, is that Bendy was a poor, tortured soul, designed to be the best of friends, like Blue was for Mac, but he was full of inner strife. He was cowardly and afraid of failure, born with low opinions of himself that stemmed from his creators original low self esteem issues. The boy, his father, by accident, gave him many problems the boy was in turn born with. As the years rolled by, Bendy was less and less able to deal with these feelings and turned to a life of occasional mischief, as it was the only thing he had any control over. All he had power over was getting away with his childish crimes by blaming them on others. It made him feel big, and it became an addiction. It would progress, worsening as time went on, culminating in his abandonment at Foster's home for imaginary friends. A tragic tale, really, but all seem to have turned a blind eye to this poor creature.
