Any real studio for animating porn in the West would likely be small, maybe 10-15 people. It'd need funding of some kind as well as an audience that would give the studio money so they could make a return on their investment. The only way I can see this happening is with furries. That guy who owns Bad Dragon would probably be the one to initially build the studio out and staff it, and 5 to 10 minute shorts that would release on a set schedule based on funding would make sense to maintain a good level of quality over 22-minute episodes. Patreon would be a requirement, as the shorts would be shared to hell and back on pirate sites.

There's only a handful of patreons and the smaller market is able support those numbers. StudioFOW is really the only actual porn studio making western porn. If there were more studios, then they'd be splitting at least some of that 30k with the other studios. And as it stands 30k is barely enough to pay a studio's worth of people (patreon is taxed very heavily, I've heard it can be as much as 30%).
