People don't like Ruins? It's absolutely hilarious

It's better if you've read the comic it's riffing on but it also works as a standalone.

But you need to read Marvel's first, and have to know going in that you can't take it seriously.

I didn't like it because it's just mean
It's not edgy enough to be hilarious
It's not insightful enough to make me think
It's not emotional enough to make me feel
It's just "See these heroes? Let's torture and humiliate them for your amusement"
But I'm not amused. It's just a mean-spirited work that doesn't add anything to the book it's riffing on nor does it take anything away.

To put forth an example:
I've read Mar-ville 3 times and would probably read again if there was a group story-time just to see other people get past the WTF-erry
I've read this once and have no urge to read it again because there's nothing to gain from this story.
