The shit of it is, that unlike real life fascists, these two are legit looking out for the masses, and aren't just using their authority to jerk off to themselves.

What makes it even dumber is that this is Marvel, who sells themselves on having heroes who are heavily flawed, so Carol and Maria ought to be their poster girls. Carol is a surly warhawk who thinks people are sheep and they ought to shut up and let her save their stupid asses, and Maria is a militant pragmatist who is desperately trying to find actual solutions to the super villain problem. But neither of them gets to exercise those traits because editorial is being fucked retarded right now.

We like these characters because they're assholes who are still good guys. Stop trying to sanitize and demonize them respectively.
