When Action #1000 comes out it'll be almost exactly 80 years since #1. If we say that kids aged 8-15 would've been the biggest group that read it and could remember doing it then the age range for them at issue #1000 would be 88-95. There's gotta be SOME people that fit the criteria.

Batman still has that shit on lockdown due to a series of highly successful animated adaptations, Hollywood feature films, video games, and an entire collection of supporting cast members spread throughout the largest "Family" in DC comics and second largest only surpassed in size by The X-Men.
Even Batman's more prolific villains are more popular than most other super heroes. Certainly more popular than other Supervillains, with only a select few Spider-Man and X-Men villains, Lex Luthor, and (Because of the MCU) Loki coming close to their level of mainstream popularity.

It'll take much more than one good solo movie and a charming smile to depose the unstoppable force that is Batman.
