But that's about it. Joe is clearly not the sharpest tack. Every time he uses any significant amount of power, it's a direct response to his state of mind, and when he's enraged he's pretty much hemorrhaging power. Not to say that his power is rage-based, just that it comes forward instinctively.

By the time we get to >>93019527 Joe is broken. The only shred of dignity he has left is not literally whoring himself out. His ambitions are limited to daydreams of being himself again. The idea of only doing this until he can find a way out is dead to him, and having never figured out his own powers properly, he's too mentally defeated to bring them forward beyond a spark.

That's just my guess on it from how he uses them in the pages.

Alternatively he just ran out of juice and can't/doesn't know how to power back up. Dead batteries.

That's one interpretation but none of the other dailers loose their powers in this version and some of them have been around a long time. I feel it's more likely he's lying because his powers are hard to control and he doesn't want hassle from people thinking he's a hero.

Pretty interesting read. Makes sense in my mind at least, that if you changed sex you would still be your original orientation, straight because that's just how your brain chemistry works, even if you are basically the same person as before your hormones and such would be typical of the other gender.

None of the other dialers remained in the hero forms for as long as "Shocking Suzi" did. Shocking Suzi is stuck in her hero form, while everybody else returned to their normal forms.
