Why does it seem lately that whenever an indie writers does something for DC it comes either ok to great but at Marvel it's usually either painfully mediocre to outright terrible? Is it the editors?

There are exceptions obviously but seems to be the overall trend for the past five or so years

also Marvel doesn't hire indie writers, it hires writers who have never written print comics before for that sweet sweet social justice cred that doesn't really have a long-term effect on sales.
