I had an idea for a sudo-blaxspoltation character based on horror movie tropes.

His name was Phoenix Freeman and his superpower was that he was a walking human target/danger magnet but also had the power to revive after being killed (his body would combust and he'd reform from the ashes as a copy of his previous form). Reality would bend to constantly kill him above anyone else. For example if he was body guarding the president and an assassin proceeded to shoot the prez then the bullets would curve to kill Baron instead of the president.

The joke would be that he's trapped in a horror universe with creatures like Jason Vorhees, Aliens, Jeepers Creepers, etc and he has to help a party of ex-victims in said horror movies survive to the end of their story. It would be similar to One Punch Man in the fact that the main character has a gimmick that's played for laughs but the supporting characters have to go through hardships that solidify them and bond them to Baron. Each person he saves has their own skills that could be useful against other creatures and by working together could finally escape the horror verse.

Death Touch - He can use rapid cell regeneration on enemies to overload there body with various types of cells and body tissue causing great pain, deformation, cancer growth (yes he can give you cancer) and eventual death. This however requires him to be in contact with the person for a certain duration of time until death.

Side powers:
Detection: Can detect ailments and other bodily diseases but cannot cure them since he can only create cells and tissue not destroy them)

Toughness: (can take a hit like other mid-tier DC heroes but otherwise has normal human strength)

He also cannot regenerate what a person never had. So if someone's leg gets blown off he can quickly heal it and they get their leg back. But if a person who had no legs since birth he can't just give them legs since they were born that way and technically aren't injured.

Role: Side/Support Hero. A character whose more known for backing up other heroes and performs a different role as oppose to being the one who just punches and smashes stuff like other heroes.

Jolly, musclebound, African-American road maintenance worker Nicholas Bwanajuma usually handles jackhammer duties during jobs. A truck carrying drums of experimental fluid that binds organic matter with machines lost control of its brakes, causing it to topple near the streets Nicholas was working at.

The accident caused a drum of fluid flying open, with a sizable amount of its contents splashing on the burly black man's jackhammer and his crotch, fusing the two together, granting him the ability to bust down anything as hard as pavement freely with his tooled-up member.

Core power: force manipulation
Description: Part of an experimental program to deal with greater planetary exploration dealing with gravity differences and exploration without vehicle assistance. This was done through chemical body manipulation and a central unit implanted into the back of his head. After the program shut down from no survivors (his coms broke on impact but he survived) without any word they saw no reason to waste more assets for dead bodies so they left him on mars. After landing without a scratch to himself on Mars, he scrapped together what was left of his pod besides a guidance system and essentially threw the pod and himself towards earth.

Basically his body is a conduit of momentum energy and force, lets say he gets hit by a train, it'll feel like a mild slap while the train will feel equal force coming back at it all while he's standing still.

He has to be semi aware of the force to really manipulate otherwise the suit just auto dampens it, also he can expand the force he outputs, like let's say he jumps he can exert enough force to go flying or punch like a meteor. It's limited by energy otherwise it starts taking energy from him which will quickly kill him.

He isn't very strong, very fast or even particularly brave. But anything that touches him stops on a dime, losing all of their momentum. Bullets, fists, cars; whatever might hurt him stops dead in its tracks. Even emotional momentum is stopped; people who are angry, happy, sad, etc. just touch him and their minds are cleared as they enter a state of tranquility.

This makes him more respected by authority figures/some of his peers, and is the impetus for him to try to develop his skills/deliberately seek out crime to solve/stop. As his powers develop, he goes through a coming-of-age crisis; in his formative years he was picked on and ostracized, but his powers grant him power over others, even a capacity for violence and unprecedented authority. Superheroes are a relatively new concept in this setting, and the intersection of his race, physical disability, and superpowers leaves him without any real support, headed up against the first supervillain the world has seen.
