I didn't find Scrappy Doo annoying when I was a kid. I thought he was dumb but tolerable. It wasn't until the internet that I discovered how much people hated him. Flim-Flam was the real annoying one.

When I was really little, I thought that the Care Bears were badass and could defeat anyone.

When I was older, I ignored Home Movies because the first time I saw a promo, it had Brendan playing with snot and I assumed the show was crap. It wasn't until I actually watched some of it that I realized how wrong my first impression was.

Everything came together just right, like for many cartoons of the early 2000s.

I loved the Mortal Kombat movie. Not the live action one, the animated one that came out before the Hollywood one premiered. I probably watched that thing a couple hundred times and I would pester my babysitter to rent it every time she watched me and my brother.

I bought and enjoyed the Karl Kesel Hawk And Dove comics
I was into Todd McFarlane's Spiderman comics for about a fortnight

Overall I had pretty decent taste as a kid. Bought 2000ad every week, loved old Ditko stuff (his weird short stories, I preferred Romita or Buscema's Spidey), loved the original Captain Britain, obsessively collected the Wagner/Grant/Breyfogle 'Tec/Batman runs, and Steve Rude was my favourite artist by the time I was 11. Oh and I brought DKR when I was 9 then got into the Miller/Mazz stuff.
I still have impeccable taste, very little has changed (apart from the fact that I haven't read capes for many, many years because they're almost completely creatively moribund on all levels). So, yeah.
