Just once can the fucking special ops/mercs/what ever soldier that gets called into comics get a fucking break? Im talking about regular soldiers not some fucking cyborgs or super soldiers just regular mooks who are slightly better trained than regular thugs.
Comics/cartoons always hype these guys to the extreme since they look way cooler than the regular henchmen since they are all decked out in black,wear gas masks, and use night vision goggles but they seem to get their ass kicked even faster everytime.

Well they always have the fanbase let me use Star Wars, Warhammer 40k and halo as an example here
Each of those universes have soldiers that are slightly better than the average goons (ARC troopers, Storm Troopers, and ODST) out there but hey are still out shines by the settings big hitters Jedi,space marines, and Spartans.
This argument just comes down to would you rather have one super special super soldier monk who need years of training and losing one could spell disaster or 30 highly trained soldiers who are not as costly if you loose them

In the DC and Marvel universes there's no fucking way regular Army/Marines/etc should look like that pic. Ironman-tier power armor should be the standard battledress. Tanks should be fusion powered and utilize anti-gravity technology.
