Why dont they make waifu pillows and tiddy figures for cartoon

People aren't going to pay the amount needed for decent quality. Look how people react when they see the price tag on their waifu's new figurine when they are new to Buyfagging,

Well we do, but its more of "I can't find a job no matter how hard I look" vs Japan's "I'd rather jerk off to cartoon middle schoolers then go outside".

Because the market that would purchase that kind of stuff isn't large enough to make up for mass production costs. Anime lovers on the other hand will buy 3 copies of the same thing at a time, and they religiously buy merchandise to keep their favorite series afloat, so it's worth the gamble even though their market is probably only a bit larger in total unique numbers/customers willing to buy.


Another reason is the family friendly American image whereas anime, while still mainly meant for children, branches out a bit more with its audiences and sexualizing things isn't as taboo over there.

There is little if any of this kind of merchandise for ACTUAL kids shows in Japan. The anime you're thinking of airs very late at night intended for adults.

There's tons of body pillows made by fans, if that's what you want.
