It was like the second ever CGI TV show. Mainframe had already come a long way with ReBoot, so they were determined to make Beast Wars look nice.

Beast Wars was a rather interesting mix between slapstick and serious, and while I personally don't think it works all the time, when it hits, it really does hit.
