I want to buy some Silver Surfer comics.
Is it safe to buy the Silver Surfer Epic Collection (When Calls Galactus, Freedom, & The Infinity Gauntlet)?
Would I be missing out in any Surfer stories or do these "EPIC" collections have all the required readings?
No.
Because you can always get others.
And if you like it, that is very probable.

Okay, if I were to get those three collection novels, what other readings stories am I missing?

bump
Requiem is a good capstone/finale although it's an AU.

Well, they aren't in order. But you can easily fill in the gaps between Freedom, SS issues are super easy to find.

Epic collections skip the Stan Lee run.
You can either get that via Silver Surfer Omnibus or the Marvel Masterworks
Also get:
Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos
Silver Surfer: Requiem
Silver Surfer: In Thy Name
Be advised that the 1987 series is horribly collected.
Silver Surfer: Freedom has 1-14
Rebirth of Thanos has 34-38
Infinity Gauntlet Omnibus has 34-38, 40, 44-60
Silver Surfer: Infinity Gauntlet has 51-66 + Annual 4
Which is better, /co/? Kirby Surfer, or Moebius Surfer?
Silver Surfer: Parable
Moebius was the boss

The art is great but I remember Stan Lee's dialogue being even more shitty and on the nose than it usually was.

>Epic Collection
The thing to know about those is that they're not released in chronological order.
At least at the very beginning, the idea behind those was to put out stories that weren't collected before, but I dunno if they're still do that.
