But most of the Image books are trying hard to be series/movie pitch with all their genre fiction faggotry, so why should I not call it as I see it? You are not going to see artistically profound or deeply creative work there. I also hate that somehow these books are given indie tag by the community but they are mainstream as fuck. Call them creator owned, do not call them indie.

I like Spurrier, he's one of the few truly creative voices left in comics and it actually bothers me that DC aren't giving him work but he has a tendency of letting the reader know what a hipster he is, mostly through dialogue. He actually unironically inserts memes into his work.
