Hey there /co/...
It seems like it's the weekend again,
So I've decided to storytime a fun lil' thing.
A pair of companion series by a nice partnership.
But each trying its best to reintroduce an old world...
This is-
Didio & Giffen's Fourth World: OMAC/Forever People
And here we go...
Been wanting to run these two series side by side for ages, better late than never.
After seeing Giffen mercilessly lambaste the Infinite Crisis-Era OMAC reinvention, it was neat to see him and Didio try to meld the two concepts.
Thanks DD. OMAC is one of those characters that I knew little about but always wanted to read more about

Bump.
>>92736513
Damn, now I feel like I should have storytimed Kirby's original series haha.
It's fantastic, while this is way different but a;sp fun.
>>92736531
Thanks!
Meet Kevin Kho...one unlucky dude.
It's your Brother Eye in the sky!
Rolling way up high, telling you to do or die!
Part 2:
wherein terms are set
Brother Eye...you're relentless
>>92736540
I had heard good rumblings about this particular series back when the whole new 52 relaunch happened. Better late than never!
>>92736714
Awesome, it's really fun.
Their Forever People, which serves to continue a few themes/plot points, is also rather entertaining.
Missed the page, but I want to say that "OMACTIVATE" is one thing they introduced that should never be forgotten.
Horrifying.
Part 3:
wherein an arch enemy is revealed
Fun fact, this was meant to be Psimon, but early New 52 was a chaotic place.
There goes the Psi-Fi Man.
Part 4:
wherein Brother Eye will always be there for you
>>92736504
>How can a creature like this exist outside the walls of Cadmus?
Is this in it's own continuity or something? There are plenty of things this strong in DC.
>>92737228
It was a frontline New 52 series, so making OMAC the "strongest thing to ever exist" wasn't that much of a stretch.
Kevin's life is turmoil.
Big talk now, Kevin?
Yup, Kevin's got some NG in his system.
Part 5:
Fight!
>>92736880
huh. Scott Koblish. neat
>>92737501
Yup!
Part 6:
wherein Female Fury!
>>92737646
That is quite the splash page
Part 7:
wherein Fight!
I'd die if The Kamandi Challenge mentioned this, but alas it seems to be a mini on a warpath.
Final Part:
Goodbye Kevin Kho!
>>92738370
Thanks!
>>92738393
This.
Seriously, in the realms of Giffen going "Shit, we're cancelled!" writing...this is very touching stuff.
Get to it, Kevin.
Show them what you're made of.
It all ends the same way.
Kevin Kho never returned home.
One last OMAC thing before we move on...
Kevin Kho has been seen in Justice League International, Justice League United, and most recently in Blue Beetle I hear.
But he hasn't made it to New Genesis.
Didio and Giffen had other plans though...
And that plan was -
Infinity Man & The Forever People
Part 1:
wherein the trip has an infinite view
Good speech, Highfather.
By this point in the New 52 Highfather had been made something of a dictator of sorts...so this series is Didio and Giffen's attempt at making sense of all the shit that people had been doing to the New Gods.
Can anyone quantify what the Orion Scale would be?
Welcome to "Kirby".
Part 2:
wherein the song calls out.
Mark's got yo' number Vykin.
Really, Big Bear?
You don't see the plethora of red flags that has?
He's got that monster face.
This thread really OMACTIVATEs my almonds
Explosive....
>>92739494
It really gets that ol' Motherbox pingin'
Part 3:
wherein a recap of the New 52's history with the New Gods.
>Welcome to Forever, People...
This narrator is pretty good.
Why do all of Giffen's comics get canceled now?
>>92739715
Cause he writes titles like this, haha.
New thread incoming!
New Thread:
>>92739894
>>92738098
>He has met and defeated any and all challenges.
Heh, what? If you call teleporting away when you're getting beat on "defeating challenges".
>>92738904
>Cosmic Cube
What's one of those when it's at home?
>Nu52 Omac
Not muh
>>92742006
I want DC to do a sub-line for not muh stuff. Too many good ideas get shat on because muh previous portrayal
>>92736389
This Mohawk sucks.
>>92736640
Checkmate v. S.H.I.E.L.D.: who wins?
>>92737019
Max's neck looks suspiciously-unsnapped.
>>92738051
>what happened to Kevin
He's standing right there!
>>92739154
Why wasn't I reading these books before?
