Continuing on with Ambush Bug stories.
Up next: the Ambush Bug Stocking Stuffer!
And here we go...
That's a bold claim
>what a part animal.
I'm dying here
Nothing can prepare anyone for the madness of Son of Ambush Bug!
Alas, Mitsu Bishi
Critical lack of Amber
War is hell,
Combat Cheeks is worse.
>I'm from Krypton.
Perfect.
Such pathos, such depth.
Who could forget him?
This is one of my favorite covers

I'm honestly surprised Ambush Bug had enough content to warrant 2 or more threads.
>>92695634
Might tip into 3, at that.
>>92695675
And two Prez Teen Presidents can basically be counted on hand the number of issues.
>>92695732
Nah, Both Prez combined got 2 hands.
Doesn't this cover just scream "O Fortuna"?

The line between Giffen and Bug is all but gone now.
Trust nobody
So still glancing at the first thread cause at work and can't just sit and read this.
Ambush Bug is basically a one off villain in a story that Giffen pencilled.
And then later when Giffen was writing he went "hey any objections to me bringing back this one-off character?" And Schwarts said "nobody cares about him. Go Nuts"
and Giffen took that as a greenlight for madness and hasn't stopped for over 30 years.

That's a pretty good summary, and he even got Kupperberg in on it for an otherwise relatively straightforward issue of Supergirl.
Hard hitting war adventure action for all ages!
Btw Dave since you've got all the issues in front of you.
What is the % of Ambush Written by Giffen?
I mean he was part of that one Doom Patrol run of old52 that I don't think Giffen wrote.
And the first issue wasn't him.
Hey, I love Ambush Bug. Thanks OP
>>92696203
Did the original page have this kinda transparent too?
Or that just caused by the light of the scanner who scanned this?
grunt.>>92696193
>>92696193
Sorry, it submitted way too fast for me.
It's 92.86 if we're not counting Giffen's later Doom Patrol run.
>>92696248
Cmon Bug.
You're not gonna win that grunt-off with THAT attitude.
>>92696234
Stuff like that is usually because of scanning yeah.
>>92696230
No problem, glad you're enjoying!
That graffitti is gold
>>92696283
Ah nice.
So you gonna include near the end his Channel52 pages? Or nah
Wouldn't blame ya if ya didn't, since it'd mean pulling and extracting prolly a year plus worth of N52 to make sure you got them all.
I just love the page where he's at comic-con cosplaying as Powergirl and a fan comes up cosplaying as Ambush Bug cosplaying as Powergirl.
>>92696345
Nah, and because it's not really about him.
And, yeah, I'm counting the Convergence Matrix Supergirl two-parter as an Ambush Bug story because that's really what Giffen was writing it as and mentioned it as in interviews.
I don't even think some of those have to do with comics.

Horrifying

Yup.
An astonishingly accurate primer on Ambush Bug
Perfect.
He made it back

Rest in Peace, Ambush Bug and Cheeks
Anyway, eventually Ambush Bug was let back into continuity.
Ninja Frogs, 'eh?
One of these days, Cheeks...
