why cartoon industry isn't trying to capitalize on video games anymore? in the 90's every fucking relevant game did get a cartoon even if they were shite.
Because the Great Recession and Pirating Happened

maybe because cartoons stray from the material so much, for the sake of creative freedom i believe, and people like me hate it when people dont do certain thingsaccurately
speaking of which, when's that Mega Man cartoon going to show up?

because the chance of failing is way higher than winning people's favor. Similar things apply to video game adoptions of cartoons as well.

Undertale would make a 10/10 GOAT anime. However I can only see it turning out as a massive failure as an American cartoon.

I'm sure a modern cartoonist could make it work, but I'm sure networks shy away from it for a number of reasons (poor reception for vidya shows in the past, licensing issues, etc). So you get shows "inspired" by video games that make references, like Gumball or Regular Show, but they keep it general enough to have wide appeal.

Undertale would absolutely suck as either anime or western cartoon.
Because videogames are a dead medium with one or maybe two if we're lucky passable titles a year.

agree. Undertale is that kind of story based on player's exploration and observation. Having anime or cartoon kind of defeats the purpose. Metroid (prime), for example, is also baed on exploration and finding all the lores and documents by yourself. Thus, having any adoption on only one aspect of a video game is pretty weak.
>PEETA WHY ARE WE STUCK IN UNDERTALE?!?!
>>92623431
Because most of them were shite anyway, and people these days are a lot harsher on the quality of cartoons so nobody wants to really even try anymore.

Emphasis on GOAT, amirite guise
