Snyder shoots on film, thus he probably uses real filters and not post production filtering. The movie won't look much different than the footage we've seen. Whedon is basically just coming in to make sure the movie gets released on time. I'm sure he'll have a lot of input on editing and trimming the fat, but that's about it. Okay. So the thing you're mistaken about is when you talk about real filters and post production filtering. I'd ask you to clarify what "real filters" means, but my guess is you mean a filter placed in front of the lens. Thing is, outside of ND and a few other instances, those really don't get used on shoots because they affect light as it enters the camera and limit your options in post.
