Either way, I don't even know where to fucking start. You'd either need to put tons of effort into bringing the band back together or you just throw in other characters. But slow build up of your comic gets you cancelled these days and inventing new characters to add also does more harm than good after Marvel poisoned that well. So I don't know. Maybe bring in other lost 2000s teens from Academy, A and Academy X?
But then you're just diluting the brand even further and run the risk of having other characters take over the book.

Runaways is kinda fucked. Maybe the best cause of actiong is to pull a Bendis and just write a story for the team that ignores most continuity. Just don't actually let Bendis write it, that would be terrible.

Hummingbird is actually a great fit for the team in my eyes.
Hell, she's literally still running away from crazy mayan god worshippers. Hell, you could resolve the whole Mictlan storyline in a runaways book and it wouldn't feel off at all, looking back at the fucking Ghiborim being their main antagonists. Hell, you could construct something neat like them having to form an uneasy alliance with those or something to help out.
