Masters of the Universe artwork. Exploring the barbaric/sci.fi/fantasy world of Eternia through the art.

The other pictures are awful but this one is amazing
>>92575654
From the same artist.
Honestly suprised that they've not tried again to bring anything from the MOTU back for film or television.

>Spikor
>Grizzlor

They should feel free to change any of these names.
>>92576228
OC?
>>92578201
Why was he the only one using his real name and not his hero name?
Clamp Champ sounds a lot more He-Manish than Raenus
>>92578241
I believe that it was the artist's choice to use his action figure's name. Officially he is still called Clamp Champ.
>tfw MOTU is going to get scheduled for a reboot if it's not already in the works
>it's going to be quippy and fun
>shot like your average superhero movie
>>92575294
>ywn have a MOTU adaptation that looks like proper epic fantasy
The only one who might be able to pull it off would be Del Toro
>>92578409
Del Toro would be the perfect choice.
MOTU has been epic fantasy since the 2002 animated series and for past 15 years through the various comic series. If they do a general capeshit movie, all the development of the franchise to the epic fantasy direction will be throw out of the window in a moment.

Gonzo?
>>92578995
This is based on the original Snake Mountain playset, which had this weird face in the fortress's gate.

>tfw I have that toy Skeletor somewhere
if you hit him in the chest the armor swaps to a damaged version
>>92578995
>>92579195
Personally i prefer the more mordorish inspired version, that it was introduced with the 2002 animated series.
>>92578102
>Sees a black guy
>assumed he does not belong here at all
as usual

Always remembered that the toy never even slightly looked like the one from the cartoon

Zodak one of the most powerful beings in MOTU's Universe as Cosmic Enforcer is black (not confused with the 1st Zodac and Cosmic Enforcer, Hordak's brother who has killed by him thousands years before Zodak's birth).
>>92579289
Black is also one of the best Eternian Knights, Sir Laser Lot (he is created by Geoff Johns, so "credits" for the name are going to him).

>Hawkwind will never make the OST of a MOTU movie
what a horrible timeline

>>92576116
It's got a project with David Goyer and Sony involved
>>92581128
That's a worrisome combo.

Or assumed someone with a relatively normal name instead of Punch-O or Fang-or might be a fan character
>>92581355
>Or I'm a judgmental asshole
>>92575294
MoTU and Thundercats are two of the most underappreciated franchises in the world imo.
What I wouldn't give to see them done justice.

MOTU and Thundercats could be one of the best shared Universes ever, as the recent crossover demonstrated.

Skeletor looks like he should be loudly yelling "WORLD STARRRR"

The nig that posted Shokoti deserves a medal.
>>92583415
It's an ad for Super Money Mart or something.
>>92579953
Sir Laser Lot. Lays a lot. Was he implying that black people are lazy?
>>92587959
Shokoti couldn't be left out. She is the Akivasha of MOTU.
>>92588331
I don't think so. Laser Lot's name is evident that is inspired from Lancelot, while it defines his laser/fire powers, at least that was Johns's intention, i believe. He is quite interesting character, but unfortunately we don't have many info about him, since he was introduced in 2012, in a single standalone issue..
wait... what is going on?
i came to this board after the /ck/ crossover thing and this is what i know about he-man: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO1ChfM94yQ
so... what is this? did anything come after that series?

Take it easy, anon.. I can't handle this level of epicness
And some concept art from the Masters of the Universe 1987's live action movie.
Here you can see that Skeletor seems that he wears a skull mask. I don't know if this was their intention to make Skeletor as a skul mask instead of a skull face villain. The interesting element is that this Skeletor resembles Shao Kahn from Mortal Kombat. Now considering that the MOTU movie came a fre years earlier from Mortal Kombat, could be that this early Skeletor concept was the inspiration for Kahn?
Another interesting plot was that the Eternians in the original script, weren't going to return directly in Grayskull, after their little adventure on Earth, but the intention was for them to finish in the Eternian jungles, fighting a legion of monsters in their attempt to return to Grayskull. Unfortunately for financial problems, and as we know this movie has a lot of them, this couldn't be done.
Hopefully Sony with a bigger budget and with the modern special effects, can do a better job from Cannon Films this time.
And please no Earth at all this time.
