Julia Pott worked on Adventure Time. I think it's her only animation job experience and she's said in interviews it's where she learned to hone her writing skills, so expect it to be way closer to Adventure Time than anything.

Wrong, CartoonNetwork doesn't dump their own studio produced shows off to Boomerang, they only do that to Warner Brothers productions (Bunnicula, Scooby Doo, Wabbit, Justice League). I'm pretty sure they only initially air it on their main channel out of some contractual obligation. The fact that TTG even caught on was probably an unforeseen miracle for WB otherwise that show would've been dropped off by now, too.

OKKO is definitely going to be the Mighty Magiswords of 2017. Series made to sell app games, probably with more advertising of the app than the show. Episodes are marathoned nonstop for about a week. Then nothing for the next three months. Maybe a another week of episodes along with ads for new stuff on the CN app, then nothing again.

I wonder why they put the pilots up as a group when the only one of these shows that were in that batch was Apple & Onion.

OK KO had it's shorts so I won't pick on that one, but Summer Camp Island's clip only appeared the same day they confirmed it, and Craig of the Creek is STILL just that single image.

All this is going to do is make people resent those shows from the start because their favourite pilots (And I don't mean JUST Infinity Train) didn't get picked up. Especially if the shows end up being bad because then they get an extra "Ugh, they didn't pick up that show for this" (See: Nick going with Barnyard instead of Modifiers)

This isn't 100%, but part of it is how they plan to release each pilot/handle each series. So, KO was going to be a multi-platform deal so they had a collection of shorts for their streaming service + YouTube page, a mobile game, and a pilot.

I'm only guessing Summer Camp Island is going the route of We Bare Bears where it's going to be released in some animation festivals first before being released officially (If ever).

Apple and Onion seems to have been done by a more traditional method of pilot-to-TV production since it was made by the European studio by some of the same crew members who worked on Gumball.

Craig of the Creek? No clue, maybe they're not close enough in production yet to release any official info or maybe they're trying to space out their announcements. Maybe they don't want to run out of news to update with for their line-up before the end of summer hits.

Fuck no. K.O. seems far more annoying than S1 Steven (who I actually still found charming and at times charming). Part of the reason I find K.O. so unbearable could be because Ian JQ's show relies more on slapstick than SU, making characters seem more over the top.

I have my own concept for a cartoon, and it's my dream to get it greenlit. At first I thought most modern cartoons sucking would be a good thing, as it means less competition, but now I'm worried that western animation will be dead by that time.
