Pretty much SPBP, if it's a throwback to the original that's both great for the fans of the old but good enough if you're brand new and never saw the origins and you still laugh/get excited when it happens.
Pandering is literally just for their sake, not the plot or the joke or even the scene, a cool reference is seamless.
