Pretty much the main thing Gumball has going for it is the unique and interesting visuals.

This is pretty much the entire art style concept of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. It's an anime, but the designs and style are clearly based on American Cartoons, and they frequently do artshifts to much better styles like normal anime style or chibi style or even claymation for explosions and such.
