Hello. I'm new to comics and /co/ in general and was wondering what you would think would be a good staring point. I enjoy more lighthearted stuff like the newer Harley Quinn (I've only read the first issue so far), and Scott Pilgrim.
I must also ask, where do you get your comics? Do you buy them from a local shop or do you torrent or DDL a copy?

Most of the people here download, but depending on the comic, or the person, we do buy from local shops or online.
I'm not big into comics myself, so I can't say a good starting point, but if you just want a comfy graphic novel, I would recommend Bone as an adventure comic to read.

If you like newer Harley Quinn, try Power Girl by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. It's the same creative team, but a much better book.

Harley Quinn is crap. Scott Pilgrim is pretty alright tho, if you liked it check out O'Malley's other works like Lost at Sea (bretty good), Seconds (OK) and Snotgirl (fucking GOAT so far)

Zombillenium is great, it's about a monster amusement park, one of my favorite comics of all time. Tintin is another great one and a classic. I tend to get my comics from places like Amazon or B&N. I don't really go for capes, myself.

If it's serious then I guess just be polite. If they recommend something don't be a dick and talk about how inferior their recommendation is. Also shower I guess (a lot of people here talk about neckbeards and their gross hygiene although I've never personally seen it in my shop)
