Black Adam is what he's called in the USA because his name was sort of bastardized into a supervillain name by Theo Adam, but his name is indeed pronounced "Ah-dahm" given that his other name is "Teth-Adam".

He'll likely be called "Teth-Ah-dahm" when they call him by his proper name, but "Adam" when he's being a villain as everyone mispronounces it into the version we're all familiar with.

And I'm not holding my breath for a film. The Snyderverse has yet to even remotely impress me and it's chief entertainment value has so far been making fun of it's sillier moments, so I don't hold out much hope that a Captain Marvel film will be any good.

That makes sense.

I actually like the Snyderverse so far, and I've got high hopes for the Shazam/Captain Marvel films if only because they're doing a phenomenally unheard of thing and giving a properly intriguing villain his own origin before even touching the hero. It has a unique opportunity to be something very memorable, especially when the standard capeshit formula right now is to give the hero a boring origin, and give the villain jack shit.
