What would the world of Who Framed Roger Rabbit be like in modern day?

Think about it,

>all the different forms of animation.cgi, flash, etc
>tv animated characters, movies based off tv or other stuff and how it would have higher animation would the tv version simply have a lower frame per second camera?
and of course imports of foreign animation, like the 90s and early 00s boom of anime would mean a massive importation of Japanese characters wanting to make their mark internationally, how would dubbing work?
and all thats just the tip of iceberg.

What about youtube/internet parodies and fan animations of existing characters like

What about porn of pre existing characters would it be the actual characters doing side jobs or stunt doubles or something of the like?

I know this will never ever be addressed but man that world I'd love to see it in the modern age of animation of today. with how animation has evolved and changed over the years.

Not helping you write the remake, do your own homework.

I always wondered how the Simpsons would react to the other toons. Although it's set in 1947, they debuted a year before the movie came out and really hit it big 2 years after, so they seemed concurrent in terms of time period to me.

>What would the world of Who Framed Roger Rabbit be like in modern day?
Shit.

>sexualizing women
>smoking babies
>murder
>violence
>torture
Couldn't happen toady. It especially wouldn't get a PG-13 rating or be allowed to use Disney characters.

Im not asking for the movie made today, Im asking for the in-universe world. Like toons in that movie did work for what were theatrical shorts before movies and animated theatrical films cause in the time it was set in the late 40s thats all animation was America. Nowadays theres a shit tons of forms animation and more globalization of foreign animation being more widely available outside their countries, how would these aspects translate to said world?

Also what you said about all that stuff, how would the world treat that too? As standards of what is acceptable for certain ratings and audience is different now.

This has always been one of the topics I'd love to see addressed

I also would like to see maybe Bugs and/or Mickey talk about literally reinventing themselves ever so often to stay relevant. "What's old is new again," Mickey says. The camera pans back to him suddenly changed into his Paul Rudish Mickey Mouse version.

Losely based on Animaniacs and a Walt Disney Studios meme, my headcanon is that misbehaving toons get "locked in the vault" for x number of decades.

Racism between toons dealing with B/W vs Technicolor. "Look at these damn inkies!"

And I'm just here thinking how would a modern version of that drug-prevention special with all the toons would work
>>
Roger Rabbit never was about contemporary cartoons so not very different. Animation would be shittier though since no one knows how to animate 2D anymore.

>Roger Rabbit 2
>all the 2D toons bitter over being replaced by fake CG toons made on computers

This is more interesting when you consider that comic book characters were also walking around and communicating with bubbles in the book that inspired this movie.
>>
There might have been a sequel in the 90's if Zemekis didn't go all apeshit over cg and did his uncanny valley movies.

Anime titties and waifus being a real thing
>>

I personally think that there wouldn't be any CGI or flash cartoon characters running around the real world. Perhaps the computer characters would be limited to a world like Wreck It Ralph, where characters from one series can travel to other series via internet.

Like Betty Boop's gag about not being able to find work since cartoons went to color.
>>
>>92426132
I don't think it could work because since that era we have had cartoons like metalocalypse, happy tree friends, etc

eddie and roger rabbit are chilling in toonworld then suddenly organs and blood start raining from the sky

>Hey Bugs, maybe you should try getting into videogames. Donald, Goofy and me got a pretty sweet deal with some Japanese people
The possibilities
>>
Have some anime characters there on vacation complete with Hawaiian shirts and sunglasses

To me it sounds like it would effectively be a adult version of the amazing world of gumball
