Fusions do kind of weird me out on a conceptual level. Fusions ARE people, yes? Like, sapient beings distinct from their components? So doesn't that mean un-fusing kills them? I guess you could argue that they still "exist" within their components, and when they fuse again their consciousness just starts up again right where it left off with the components' added memories since the last time.

If anyone was going to have the fluctuating redemption, it'd be Jasper. Peridot is clearly done with her arc and Lapis has no apparent allegiance to Homeworld. Jasper would be the only one who would have tension as to whether or not she'd go back or betray them.

For your question, I think they sort of just live on with their components. What Garnet learns and experiences will still be retained by Ruby and Sapphire. However, what Pearl hides from Garnet can also be hidden from Sardonyx when she is formed.
