Do kids even watch modern cartoons? Seems like I hear more about Pokemon and Minecraft than I do Loud House and Teen Titans Go! despite those being "extremely popular with kids".

Videogames are more popular than cartoons
being "extremely popular with kids" means that some kids actually bother watching them
>>92406153
Kids just watch retards play Minecraft on YouTube desu
My nephew alternates between that and Pokémon XY
It's easier to make funny Youtube videos out of Minecraft and Pokemon than it is Loud House and Teen Titans Go
They watch them, but not as much, and its always streaming. Lets Plays and Video Games have taken a good bite out of the market.

Kids plays videya and watch porn. Then do drugs at teen years then become washed up tools of the system.

This is true. My cousin doesn't watch TV shows, he watches some dipshit play Minecraft.

Can confirm, my friend's kid watches Minecraft shit while alternating between Loud House/whatever is on Netflix
I always found Minecraft extremely boring to play. Even with mods, it was clunky compared to Terraria for building/exploring or Don't Starve for survival.
How the fuck do people WATCH Minecraft and enjoy it? It's like watching someone grind in a Final Fantasy game.

It's the charisma of the commentator and a lot of people watch LPs because its "comfy" I guess.
>>92406882
I mean, I enjoy the Two Best Friends, but there are a lot of times where the games they're playing are just too boring to watch, even with commentary. Like their Dark Souls LP. That's a fun game to play, but to watch, it's just Woolie running around in a giant open world while doing inventory management with very few jokes in between.
I have no idea how a person can keep up with charisma in something like Minecraft where you spend hours gathering wood.
>cousins used to be relatively interested in TV and watched a fair variety of shows scattered across each channel
>their mother gets them both their own Kindle Fire Kids Edition
>now they're hopelessly addicted to YouTube and no one sees a problem with it
>especially given that they're watching that fucking Spiderman Elsa bullshit and those Kids TV "Animations" or whatever the fuck they're called

Agree.

I wonder what those kids watching those Elsa and Spiderman vids will grow up to be like. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't brainwashing them, there's no possible way you can make material that stupid in such large quantities without a malicious intention.

Teen Titans Go isn't "popular".
It's ratings is pretty average, beyond a little boost from being forced and advertised so much. Cartoon Networks obsessive pushing of it is honestly bizarre.
>>92408024
The generation that is growing up watching Spiderman and pregnant Elsa videos are gonna end up causing the apocalypse.
>>92408116
Makes sense if you think about it, take two of the most popular characters from little boys' and girls' pop culture, and make content so stupid that it fries their brains.
>>92408116
>Not the generation that grew up with Newgrounds animations
And back then, that was the ONLY online content we had. At least now people can watch some actually good animated shorts alongside the weird shit.
No, only autistic young adults watch the trash you see on Cartoon Network.

Children on YouTube genuinely fucking frighten me. One of my friends has a daughter who is damn near addicted to YouTube and she looks for all the insane, ADD-influenced colorful sparkle videos she can find, and then she tries to force you to watch it as many times as she has (read: 100x times). Do you have any idea how many goddamn times I had to hear the Pokémon remix of Butterfly by SMILE.DK because it had flashing videos of Pikachu dancing?
