It's an alright comedy show, so long as you yourself don't become an arrogant ass about it like most other fans have become. The insufferable part comes from some of its fanbase that takes anything Rick says (and the show as a whole) seriously.

Something about this thread has a very arrogant and insufferable vibe to it for some reason.

It comes off as though Rick is often the mouthpiece for the writer's thoughts which makes them look like arrogant assholes. That's really not the case though.

rick is supposed to be an arrogant jackass, that's kind of the point

why not pay attention to what the other characters are saying every once in a while

I've seen a couple of episodes and haven't seen this "lol nihilism reddit" tone from it, the show doesn' takes itself seriously

Rick's a dangerous sociopath.
But it's a fun show to watch.
