just add in some SoL segments where the hero observes people's everyday life from a safe distance to help keep his loneliness and lack of human contact at bay.he's such a good guy he still manages to be happy just from seeing other happy and knowing he helps maintain said happiness and peace

Superman is a dick when he's in a mood, and it never turns out well for him, if he wins the fight there's some kind of concequence(Captain Marvel saying fuck you guys and going solo in JLU) or he goes in all "Dur de durr, I'm superman" and gets blindsided(Swamp Thing a few months ago)

If they're truly heroic and good, they'll recognize the immediate and undeniable threat they pose to everything around them, and take steps to either disable their powers or quarantine themselves.

There's a similar character in Warren Ellis' Desolation Jones. No ones can tolerate being near her (some sort of pheromone thing) so she stay inside, deals with crushing lonliness and trades information.

Not exactly a superhero, but throw in some telepathic ability, and you could take that anywhere.
