Let's discuss an example of a good revival
>Updated the year to modern day (to 2011), but kept the characters' personalies the same
>Same rough animation look
>Same writing style
>Same characters, didnt introduce any new characters
>Still had those music video commentary scenes
>The only bad thing about it was that along with music videos, they sometimes watched nu-MTV shit

listening to them rip on jersey shore was kino
Bea is and butthead are sort of idiots who would watch Jersey shore and sixteen and pregnant so all is forgiven
It was a perfect revival, and it's a fucking shame it didn't get renewed again because it didn't appeal to MTV's audience of teenage girls. Viacom should have moved it to Comedy Central.
Even the commentary on the reality shows was funny, and made sense for them to do considering how rare music videos are shown on television nowadays. It was necessary to update it for the sake of the satire being relevant to today's culture. The music vids they did show were good though ("So Cold in the D" is as memorable and hillarious as anything from the old show).

I didn't think B&B really work in the modern day nearly as well as the 90's. Their "lazy idiot slacker that listens to metal" type works in a 90's show but do people really want to see that now?

The callcenter episode was great. I'm not sure todays audience likes those slow shows. The humor is also from another time.

Yeah, modern B&B would be crackers or something.
Maybe they should have aged them to late twenties/thirties but they still dress and act the same way.

These days they'd want one of them to be Asian and the other black, gay, and intellectual and they would make jokes about how whites are all evil and how diverse are we! And some other phony shit to appeal to the twitter hashtag crowd. Pretty much just boring and unfunny.

>YWN see Beavis and Butthead react to MTV Decoded
Feels bad man
>>92343664
Wow looks like this grumpy cat got up on the wrong side of the bed.
Beavis cried.
>>92340183
they should have riffed on dumb youtube videos
>>92339554
Didn't Beavis or Butthead imply that Daria killed herself in the reboot or something, and then the other one is just like, "nah, she just moved away" which means that somehow, despite the fact that Daria (the show) moved in real time, and Daria herself is like 30 something, Beavis and Butthead are still fucking stuck at they're current ages?
>>92346966
Well, they do look markedly different from all the other characters, maybe they have some sort of developmental problem?
>>92344094
What makes you say that, faggot?
