I'm a 25 year old male person finding myself watching Jem and the Holograms and enjoying it.
It's not very intellectually stimulating but I like looking at all of the neat clashing 80's colors.
My question for you /co/ is at what point does an adult fascination with kid cartoons become creepy?

When you make medallions, wear them and try to pick up chicks with them.

When you start stalking the VAs. Don't worry, you're fine.

I love 80s Jem, as well. And 80s Transformers. But that's pretty much where it stops. A lot of the other shows just don't hold up.

I guess what I really like about stuff like this is just making fun of the convention. It's not supposed to be funny, but some of the script is so bad it makes me laugh anyway.
Plus it's like a time machine into some part of 80s aesthetic idk

I'd say when you bring it up unprompted or without good reason. Not that it's necessarily fair but a grown main saying "I really like Jem and the Holograms' out of the blue over the watercooler would probably net him some judgement.
Jem is a great show, I'm with you.
Great music, great melodrama, great unintentional humor, what isn't to love?
Also, Roxy is the best JS

Obligatory Jizz episode.

When it starts having ponies in it apparently
It's creepy by default if you are judgemental.
It's never creepy if you are a decent human being.
It's only creepy to creeps

Jem's pretty fun to watch, the music and visuals are consistently good, even if it gets kinda silly. You could say it has a...universal appeal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXOiT5nBmGw

If you haven't yet, check out the IDW comic as well. It's a bit of a different take, but captures a good deal of the charm of the cartoon (Including the attempted murder)
