Why doesn't Superman just put the world in a bottle, like the city of Kandor?

Come to think of it, wasn't that what a well-intentioned random villain just tried to do? There was a big blue space baby with a bunch of borg machinery and blue borg warriors. He tried to move Earth to the end of time to keep the Earthlings from screwing up the universe and vise versa. All good ideas, but the JLA stopped him for no real reason.
So the question becomes- what does DC have against putting the world in a bottle? It sounds so safe considering the constant space attacks.

Don't you have a country to run, Luthor?

Who the fuck is this? I've seen this picture before, but when I google it the suggested search is just "4chan"

What good would that do? The assholes would still be there...
Is this an All-Star Superman reference?
Because if you put the world in a bottle, the bottle might break, thus rendangering the world. And if you put the bottle that contains the world in a bottle then that bottle might break thus endangering the first bottle, which endangers the world, so you have to put that bottle in a bottle and before you know it you have infinite bottles.
And you know what happens with infinite bottles? Some hobo turns them in for an infinite deposit and gets infinite nickels and then you have infinite inflation and the economy collapses.

Who keeps the bottle?
Can people in a bottle determine their own destiny?
Ensure their own safety?
