S1-2 were a fucking blast. Season 4 was clever but feels like a drag watching it over again. Season 3 feels a little similar but very early and very late in the season (The Name, The Spoiler, The Society) is really good. Episodes like "The Uploads" is basically just a YouTube parody where they sit down and watch funny videos for 9 and a half minutes. The best thing about the show is waiting for new episodes, imo.

No one says Gumball has good art, they say it looks fantastic because of the mix of art and animation styles into one seamless package. It's done really well.

Gumball makes itself a set up for alternative art styles and it does it fine.

That clip proves that Gumball can alternate from one art-style to another very well using the mixed media thing, just like the fury fighting scene, or "Make the Most of It!".

You're not wrong, since episodes like The Sweaters seem to make it true, but the way the characters are structured now is what makes Gumball..."Gumball". How well would that scene look if they used any 3D characters in it?
The show wouldn't be NEARLY the same if it didn't have mixed media. And it isn't nearly as forced as things like Kappa Mikey. It's just hard to make multiple art-styles clash together, so Gumball tries to make it work together to it's fullest extent by giving characters a similar structure. Some 3D characters just won't work in 2D, and nearly all of the situations the show brings up wouldn't exist if it weren't for the vast world of Elmore.
Imagine how forced it would be if The Wattersons had an ACTUAL 100% moe art style animated by Toei and-or Sunrise, and Rob looked more like cyclops. They would be animated differently, the lineart wouldn't work together and the plot would be lessened. It won't clash well.

The world could be a 2D world and the situations would be the same. And most of the plots of Gumball are generic sitcom plots plus car chases.

You are confusing "chibi" with "moe". Original tawog characters were chibi-like characters. Bobert is a chibi-like CGI character. Gumball could work with a chibi artstyle and animation.
