Why? I don't think killing Aku is going to magically undo everything. Jack needs to go back to the past first and kill Aku there in order to do that and I don't think that's going to happen.

Maybe, but I doubt it. I'm sure Aku will just remind Jack that killing him and undoing his world would also erase Ashi and all the other good characters Jack met throughout his journey. So he'll ultimately decided to stay in the future and rebuild it after killing Aku there.
