Hellboy.

filthy pleb
a story must be told in 4 panels at most,
anything more than 3 makes you look like an amateur

Mignola's all about atmosphere, and that takes time to create for the reader.
>>92081005
"atmosphere" is for hacks who can't appreciate true storytelling
>>92080970
If you can't tell a complete story out of one panel, you might as well just throw out your pencils.

a hack job
Learning how to compress your layouts to get the most bang for your buck per page is actually a pretty invaluable skill for commercial comic art.
Honestly, more authors should focus on pumping out a ton of short story comics that are like five pages, and just keep doing more and more of those, instead of one superfluously long webcomic.

I actually worked on some submissions for 2000 ad when they were hiring a few months ago.
Their example scripts are phenomenal and I genuinely recommend anyone trying to improve in the art of comic making, not just art, but in pacing, dialogue placement, etc, to give them a go.
So few people really understand how to make really good short stories anymkre, everyone wants to make a magnum opus. But nah, man, making short and sweet stuff with good endings is how you do it.

SO close
>>92081289
Nice. What's the original?
>>92081253
Have some links to these scripts?
I agree, though, I much prefer working with short stories than epics.

To me, this will always be one of the most disgusting things /pol/ has done; take a random webcomic from an innocent girl and turn it into your typical r/theDonald shit, totally unprovoked.
At least when /lit/ did this they felt shame about it.

Making unfunny webcomics is now a wrongdoing? Thanks for letting me know, satan.
>>92081289
did they edit this in MS paint. If you're gonna do this, at least do it right and not half-assed
>>92082728
Her comics are not just unfunny, they are bullshit.
>>92082713
This one's actually really funny, The other one's aight its just cringey to see "refugees" in an edit. Half expect it to be followed by "cucked" or other nufascist idiosyncrasies.
>>92082613
>implying it all started with /pol/
>>92082786
They upset you, so the proper response is to pump out a shitload of even unfunnier versions just to spite the author?

Both jokes have the same punchline though. What makes the feminist robot one better than the rapefugees one? Are you just some pathological /pol/ contrarian? Because I'm sure /pol/ likes both of them.
>>92082831
>even unfunnier versions
Nice opinion.
And yes, that's the proper way of doing it. It's not necessarily to spite the author, even if that's very gratifying, it can be just to have some fun with other people who find it funny.
It's also nice to remind comic artists that you can easily use their shitty strawmen against them. Maybe if you do that, they will realize how bad the original comic looked to you.
