Armies aren't exactly known for stealth, so she probably heard word and tagged along with them.

We don't know if she herself chose the number of daughters she could have.

They don't really have any magic, beyond the whole weapon summoning thing.

The daughters killed quite a few of them. Who knows if their were any other good fighters left.
I have no idea how she found where they were, I guess she just tracked them down when they were taking too long to come back. The whole part with mother was rushed, but the episode was still pretty cool in my book.

But they weren't being raised to contend with armies, they were raised to contend with Samurai Jack, which if the series has shown us anything, is a much more formidable task. Even then, the 7 of them weren't able to do it, though they got as close as anyone. I wasn't too surprised that she was able to beat the snot out of that legion of NOTorcs, given the challenge they gave to the man who faces armies like that before breakfast.

Next time, before asking questions about a TV show, you should ask yourself "will adding this idea make things better?"

For all of your suggestions, the answer is "no." It's logical using in-universe logic that the mom would want to bring her own cult fighters with her. But that wouldn't improve the story. What would happen is Ashi would kill a few extra people and the story would be the same. Adding extra random fights just to be logical is a pretty shit way to try to write a story.

In-universe: Why do you think she *chose* to have seven? They were all born at the same time, that'd mean they were septuplets and not something she consciously decided to have.
Story-wise: Because otherwise Jack wouldn't get the murder guilt arc and also because Jack fighting a team of fighters is a totally different display than Jack fighting one fighter.

So she implants a remote controlled explosive in their bodies, then what? She uses it, Ashi dies, and? That doesn't really take the story anywhere.

I have to disagree here, Ashi fighting a hoard of her old cult before eventually going on to battle her mother, the 'head' of the cult, would have been thematically a MUCH more powerful scene than her fighting a bunch of mooks. We know nothing of these guys, how strong they are or weak, they have no connection to Jack(either being a previous foe from the old series or having a particular scene with him prior), they have no connection to Ashi(having no prior meeting or reason for meeting) or even just a unique look(they're literally just orcs, whoopee), and they have no connection to the overarching story than just some fodder for an ultimately hollow action set piece.

Ashi tearing down the members of the cult who shaped her into this would make for a much more interesting dynamic when she ultimately achieves victory and adding in dramatic irony that these cults who brutalized her for her entire life ultimately find her beyond them. The overall aesthetic of hordes of those cultists on the side of the cliff would have been a much more striking image than the boring army we got and it would perfectly explain why Ashi could beat them, she had done exactly that before, she was trained to do exactly that, and after tearing down her 'organization' she ultimately stands at the final boss of it all, and defeats her in combat.

It would have added so much more just to switch out the nameless mooks for the already established warriors.
