I didn't mind him going back to his old self. What I found retarded was the way it was done. I thought he was going to retrieve his sword from wherever it was, shave his beard, cut his hair and probably make over the gi himself or have someone do it for him (maybe the monks). I'm also a huge sucker for the Samurai Jack comics so I kind of liked "Inside is the weapon that cannot be broken" better than this because the sword breaking was done better, the vision quest was better and for now it feels like the reveal was stronger.

I don't mind ashi destroying an entire army of generic baddies by herself. What I do mind is the way she did it. If she destroyed the orcs similarly to how jack destroyed the army of beetles by using traps and the environment to dwindle their numbers and THEN jumping into the fight when there are no other options it would've been much better and made 'more sense' as far as logic goes in SJ universe. Ashi Killing all of them while getting a some blows and cuts in the process would've shown how even though she's not as good as jack or Scotsman she's still a very capable fighter and can work her way around seemingly hopeless situations.

Yes she trained her whole life to be a deadly assassin. She was the best out of them all and fought off groups of enemies during training but even an army of THAT size would've had jack struggle a bit (or a lot depending on whose fighting) to defeat them. When that happens in most cases either a new character(s) show up to help Jack or he falls back to make a plan to dwindle their numbers down before directly attacking.

Now through out the series we've seen both jack and the Scotsman fight loads of enemies and even they might have it tough at times having to take cover, use the enemies weapons agaisnt them, trick them into shooting up theory own etc. Ashi however in spite of being weaker than jack and Scotsman pushed hundreds of those guys off the mountain, jumped into the middle of the army and killed them all without getting a scratch on her. That just seems odd. I can see maybe Scotsman pushing them off the cliff since he's fuckin huge and got superhuman strength but I don't see ashi or even jack being able to do that.

It feels like ashi was Strong at first during the first couple episodes, got nerfed and then got buffed again in this episode

When he lost the sword, he felt guilty over killing those innocent creatures and went into a rage because of the time portals all being destroyed. But they're still dead because of his anger. All of the time portals are still gone (aside from the Guardian's, more than likely).
I mean it's great that Ashi told Jack that he's inspired so many people, but he's still in the same position he was in when Aku first destroyed the portals.

Why does he feel so much more confident about getting rid of Aku now and why did it take so long for him to try reclaiming the sword in the first place?

I don't know. I just felt like the way they built up his issues, they would stick out longer. Like, there would still be nagging doubts that would trouble him. But last episode made it seem like he's done with hallucination Jack (and his parents, who haven't appeared since Episode 1) and Suicide Samurai is also gone.

I honestly like they went back to classic Jack. I mean, I like bearded jack, but I don't think I want to see Jack defeat Aku looking like that. I want classic Jack to defeat Aku. Plus you know during the fight, his hairs going to come down like it almost always did.

Because of Ashi's connection to Aku he's able to control her with his powers. In the end Jack faces a moral dilemma in killing Aku because Ashi's life will be on the line.

After that last episode, I'm just losing interest in the show. I just feel so damn mix about it and the future episodes, and Ashi really hasn't grown on me yet. I mean Jack has found his way, great so what purpose does she serve now?

I don't see a romance starting, nor a father daughter thing. I feel like this is all a build-up for when Ashi takes up the mantle to replace Jack. Genndy did say we are going to get an ending, we didn't know we wanted.

There was no point, because he can't go back to the past, and despite his courage in facing Future-Aku, I think he wasn't sure that he could kill Future-Aku, only past Aku. I don't think Jack has went out to turn Aku's castle to rubble yet, he just prioritized finding the portals. Jack has nothing to lose now, and everything to gain, since he can wander as an immortal looking for time portals.

I would have been quite upset if they didn't go back to the original design. His original design was the face of the show, seeing him changed is fine for a bit, but eventually I wanted to see him clean himself up.
It's as much a metaphorical thing as it is literal. Jack doesn't age physically, he clearly ages mentally. Him regaining his old outfit shows that he has also regained his old self.
