Memes.
Seriously, kinda. It's wacky intense unadulterated creativity. High concept ideas a mile a minute. I haven't even read it in prep for this storytime, I just remember it that clearly from the one time I did read it like 5 years ago. The very appeal is that it's "a real mess".
This is coming from a guy who remembers The Filth the most clearly of Grant's Hypersigil Trilogy. Shit was ridonkulous.

Question regarding Marvel Boy here, since I haven't read Inhuman Royales for myself yet.
Has Ewing addressed (or hinted that he'll address) the whole Sarah Connor future-self shit that was implied for him after he left the Dark Avengers & became Protector?

BTW, I like to do these in 3s. Was considering making this the first of 3 Celestial STs, now I'm thinking 3 "Eternity" ST's. Any preference?

Not that I'm aware of. But then again, Marvel pretty much dropped every plot with Noh-Varr when Carol became Captain Marvel.
They were slowly building Noh-Varr up to fully take the Captain Marvel title. (He briefly had it during Dark Avengers).
Then as part of the diversity push they gave the title to Carol instead and dumped Noh-Varr onto the Young Avengers as the hot straight boy who has experimented.

That bulge he has on the cover is really distracting.

I'mma call bulllfuckingshit on all of that family.
Carol had been getting built for it all throughout her 50 issue ongoing. If Noh-Varr was gonna be the new Cap he would've been given the title when he was Protector INSTEAD of Protector.
Seriously tho whaddy'all want next? Wednesday's issue gave me a lot of options.
At first I was thinking this could be the first of 3 Celestials threads, but the more I think about it I should probably save them for later.
I could do a Nemesis storytime and an Eternity storytime I guess? 1st Cosmos, 3rd Cosmos, 7th/8th Cosmos? Would fit better thematically.
Or I could just do Simonson Fantastic Four again, for any who missed it. Since it was especially relevant this week.
Could a kind anon quickly catch me up to speed on the theme of these storytimes?
Back up reading after each new issues of Ultimates? Have I got that right?
Although the purpose is unclear to me, I admire your dedication, OP. I may need to dive into the archives.

>Back up reading after each new issues of Ultimates? Have I got that right?
Yep.
>>91942632
Kinda?
Like I said in the first one, it was down to timing and coincidence. I've been downloading the comics these obscure cosmic characters appeared in for myself anyway, might as well share in the experience.
I tried to do it every new issue, but for various reasons it didn't pan out. So now I'm just doing it whenever it feels suitable & I feel up to the task. Latest issue was a feeler fo' sho'.
First there was a Shaper of Worlds storytime, but I went overboard and did his fellow Cubeyonders Kubik & Kosmos for good measure: /88626231/ /88705186/ /88771383/
Then there was the Order/Chaos/InBetweener storytime, but there were enough modern appearances for a second thread and they in turn set-up a MAC storytime quite nicely (MAC fits the term "In-Betweener" quite well so w/e): /89922324/ /89970205/ /91276459/
There are also a pair of Fantastic Four storytimes I've done on the side that are sort of thematically related, but I'll have to redo the second and start on a third before I can count it in good conscience. Here's the first one at least: /89997242/
This thread I did on impulse because the last thread was dying & I still wanted to talk Ultimates, so a theme's not been planned. I thought I could turn it into 3 Celestials threads but now I'm thinking 3 Embodiments of Everything threads. Mmmmmmmmmight still do Celstials before next issue though.
>Although the purpose is unclear to me
Reference material. Anons what to know who that guy from the latest issue was? Have a comprehensive guide. Sometimes TOO comprehensive, First Firmament gets mentioned in what, one panel over all 6 of this thread's issues? Whatever, it's about giving /co/ optional context. Sharing is caring.
Also because Hypercrisis. Potentially.
>>91939978
Do a celestials storytime, op. That would be cool
>>91945401
It's on the list anyway. Possibly before next issue. But I'm worried that if I jump straight into it now without time to think it all through I'll miss out some good shit. There's a lot of important Celestial content I've not read myself. I don't even know how I'd organize it into multiple threads (which I WOULD have to do, there's so much).
You want it ASAP? As in, this weekend? If so I'll put my mind to it tonight and do Nemesis & Eternity another time.
>>91922534
>NohVarr's a gargantuan shitposter
Makes sense.
Which page is the one that mentions the Firmament?

he would probably have been the new captain marvel is not for the cockroach thing. that idea doesnt make for good marketing. ive always wondered why these creators dont make their characters translatable to other media and merchandising. you used to get a lot of b and c level characters that just were marketing dead ends...bad costumes...complex origins or powers. i guess they dont care since they dont own them and save their better ideas for bigger paydays.
>>91921324
Never read Marvel boy, so thanks!
>>91945178
Thanks for the reply, anon. You're a true cosmic scholar.
A couple pages for the next 2 ultimates issues.

Bullshit am I. were that the case these threads wouldn't have happened because I wouldn't be discovering new stuff as I went along!
