What would happen if SCP-682 was dropped into the middle of Marvel NYC?
>>
Nothing because the SCP foundation is shitty fanfiction and Marvel has been utter crap since the 70's
>>
It gets BTFO hard because the Marvel universe has so much hax, but then we get a six-month long event where the heroes split into two arbitrary sides and start fighting over what to do with its orphaned children.
>>
>>91917902
It would probably wreck like 70% of NYC, but the death toll would be significantly reduced by the likes of Spider-Man and Dare Devil. Avengers would probably be called and Hulk would throw 682 into orbit and Stark would push it into the sun from there.
>>
>>91917902
SCP foundation is basically Paranormal Shield, right ?
>>
>>91917902
the meme lizard would meme its way into some bullshit that would make it win
>>
>>91917981

>>
>>91918100
this.
>>
>>91917902
God I hate 682. I wish I could go back in time and prevent that shitty fucking lizard from being created.
>>
>>91917902
It would be badly drawn by some vague tweet-celeb for 2-3 issues then replaced by a black person under the mask.
>>
>>91918050
More or less, only much less scrupulous and much less hesitant to murder.

More NERV than SHIELD.
>>
>>91917902
I think a better question is who would win in a fight: SCP-682 or Prep-time Batman?

>DUDE SPOOKY MONSTER AND SCIENTIST RP LMAO

It's fucking cringe. One mod larps as an anthropomorphic golden Labrador retriever who goes around in Robotnik's mech from Sonic Adventure 2, another is basically Deadpool, and some people make themselves into le spoopy monster (the sty lmao chick who is good BUT COULD DESTROY THE WORLD and has le dark backstory, DUDE INVINCIBLE CROCODILE LMAO, DUDE I CAN TELEPORT TO DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS AND I'M SO COOL THAT THEY MADE ME A SCIENTIST FOR INVESTIGSTING SPOOPY STUFF LMAO), and getting so assblasted at some people's ideas that they lock the article and godmod the character dying in legitimate, unironic "teleports behind you" fashion.

One of the genuinely good ones got this treatment: one of the random test subjects turned out to be completely invulnerable. Hit him with a tank and he'd be fine, but in a crater. With all the stupid shit like le spoopy statue that moves when you blink and dude haunted phone app monster lmao, this one seemed believable. Mods got assblasted for some reason and wrote like a 15,000 word article where they try to kill him (for no reason other than "he could be hazardous" when they have shit that could end the world multiple times over locked up in cages) and eventually succeed because the dude ate a peanut and had a nut allergy or something.
>>
>>91918686
All those got purged and no-one does RP anymore

>>
>>91918363

>>91918538
Where have you been? People have been salty over shitty SCPs still being up for years.

>>91917902
Reed Richards sends it to earth-2149, where it just enjoys itself mucking about. Then he builds a Lizard Repellent Ray, which disrupts earth 616's molecules in a way that stops it from coming back. The watcher of earth-91126 eventually feeds the stupid retardo lizard into a time loop and gets rid of it on a technicality. Unless Marvel is still salty about the Fantastic Four rights, in which case, everyone dies. Since everyone who could actually deal with it belongs to their support cast. You have to remember that Punisher and Deadpool are canonically strong enough to kill every single living hero and villain in the marvel universe, and they are pretty much just guys with guns.

A part of the reason 682 was kept in was because it was one of the very early ones. By the time they got stricter guidelines and cracked down on mary-sue SCPs, 682 was already popular and was kind of "grandfathered in", they figured they could have their one resident sue. They actually found a good use for him though. 682 is kind of a "mary-sue test" that they use to evaluate new SCPs. If the new object/creature is anywhere near as unstoppable or more powerful than 682 they know it is a sue and can discard it.

Btw. I never understood the people who want an SCP series. It would probably be fun to watch but it would loose all of the mystery and most of the horror of SCP relies on the short, written, and "official" document format, which wouldn't translate well.
>>
>>91918677
>creepypasta

So boring shit with edges added, thanks.
>>
>>91918711
When? I checked like last January/ November '15 and those fags were still doing that shit.
>>
>>91918629
A collaborative horror-fiction project that hundreds of people have contributed stories and articles to. The basic idea is that a extra-governmental organization called the SCP Foundation operates in secrecy across the world to Secure, Contain, and Protect what they deem "anomalous" items, creatures, and phenomena. This translates to basically anything paranormal. Most of the short stories take the form of formal documents describing the object(usually called an SCP as a form of shorthand for SCP object) documented by the Foundation and its associated "containment procedures", aka what to do to keep it under Foundation control and minimize the death toll. Because most SCPs can and will kill the shit out of a lot of people. The Foundation is pretty much purely scientific in their approach. They care about preserving the survival of the human race, but are perfectly willing to sacrifice individuals, even large numbers of individuals, in the name of gaining knowledge. Unfortunately, they're one of the only groups standing between the human race and utter destruction in the face of the incomprehensible.

That doesn't work, dumbass. Since it can adapt to anything, nothing will ever fail the test. It's like going:

Infinite regenerative abilities like Wolverine, incredible strength and endurance, limited environmental adaptability, big ass teeth and claws, a few tentacles as well I think. Also a bottomless hatred for every other living thing. Not particularly clever though. Despite numerous attempts, no one has ever been able to figure out a way to kill it. Best they can do is keep it restrained in a pit of powerful acid and shoot it in the head every once in a while. Size depends on how fucked up it is at the moment, but usually it's fuckhueg.

It's very very hard to kill.

Probably not impossible, but you better get it right the first time because it instantly adapts.

Previous failed attempts has rendered it effectively impervious to all known and unknown methods, so it has to be something entirely new.
>>
>>91918834
I don't mean it as in "can it destroy 682?". It's more like the "No Homers Club" from the Simpsons who could have one Homer because it was no (plural)Homers. They can have one mary-sue which is 682, but if an SCP in any way resembles 682 or rivals its OP abilities then they can tell it is a mary-sue itself and delete it.

Maybe in Series 1. They're at 3000+ SCPs, and it's been close to a decade since they split from /x/ (not /v/, where did you get that from).

But literally everyone in these threads who shits on SCP as a whole like that clearly didn't read more than a couple, if that.

There's a lot of crappy ones and the people behind it range from autistic to aggressive assholes but there's a lot of good, creative content as well.

I don't get people who complain about either.

It's like the people 10 years ago who were saying Supes's red underwear is silly and outdated. Yes, but it's been there since the beginning and while the settig's advanced and norms have changed there's a sort of nostalgia towards little things like that.

I've read a bunch of recent SCPs recently after years of not paying attention to the site and I found almost no mention of any of the Classic Mary Sues - 682, Able, Iris, etc

They just don't play a role in the setting anymore. The meta's all about the Sarkic-Mechane conflict.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Cabin in the Woods but other than the main premise of a clandestine organization who keeps a shit ton of monsters, it didn't feel like any of the spooky parts of SCP. SCP feels like I am just some dude who stumbled upon documents I really shouldn't have and there's that feeling that I actually know jackshit even after reading all of them. Its almost cold in a way and Cabin in the Woods felt too open and tongue in cheek about it to feel like a true spooky scp.

I say spooky because the organization in Cabin in the Woods just dicking around and taking bets on the proceedings felt spot on as far as the foundations dicking around with some of the lighter or more random scps like the vending machine.

So I guess Cabin in the Woods is a perfect adaptation for light hearted/weird SCP but not quite for scar SCP. But that's just my opinion.

Revered elders, since everyone here is anonymous, I'm curious about your thoughts on the changes to the site content. More specifically, how do you feel (depending on how old you are, this might not be new to you but I'm curious nonetheless) about

>shift away from Series 1-type Regular Thing With Anomalous Something What Kill You to This Is Super Weird What The Hell Is This
It seems like originally a lot of skips were "take normal thing, add in something creepy/murderous", very straightforward. Now you have format fuckery, transdimensional warfare, Reality Anchors, etc. It seems like it's moved towards "this is fundamentally bizarre and we're trying to understand it"
>Every fucking skip has a twist now
Half of them start off Safe/Euclid, then you click on the last collapsible and it's Kill-Everything-XK-Keter
>proliferation of GoIs
Way back when there were a handful of GoIs, now there's dozens
>centralization of SCPs
Used to be you'd get them interacting via cross-testing, but they were all independent, more or less. Now it seems like very major SCP is connected to 3+ other ones.
>Sarkicism
I'm pretty sure this is the single biggest change, adding in a fuck-ton of SCPs, tales and similar that are related to Grand Karcist Ion and his ilk. Good/bad?
>Changes to CotBG
Used to be pretty unequivocally bad, and one of the more pressing "these guys will end the world if they get what they want" long-term apocalypses. Now it seems like, while their objectives are counter to preserving normalcy, they're portrayed as well-meaning and by far the lesser evil.

Isn't there a giant overlap between tulpamancers and SCPtards? Aren't tulpamancers a bunch of depressed manchildren?

If the quality of writing of SCP doesn't convince you that they're a bunch of retards, maybe the fact that they're closely associated with tulpas and MLP will.

Then again if you can't tell SCP writers are retarded just from their writing, you might be a hopeless case.

If you want something similar to SCP with unusual phenomena, scientists, and strange governmental bureaus, the series of novels Area X (Annihilation, Authority, and Acceptance) by Jeff Vandermeer are very good. There's a film adaptation coming out as well.

I made the outline for an SCP back in the day. It's a tiny, innocuous pebble that (presumably) serves as the last remaining piece of a sentient, city-sized ancient palace and completely views/rewrites the memories of anyone who views it. It was destroyed thousands of years ago by some emperor who assembled a army of blinded laborors to break the thing down and seal away the remaining bit, but its instantaneous effect meant that said last bit was seen by a small child and taken away. It moved from place to place, harmlessly brainwashing people into thinking it was a childhood trinket until researchers discovered it back in the late 1800's... and the pebble's abilities were shown to work through photographs. The pebble used its powers to stealthily insert several "sleeper cell cultists" into the research team as the horrified proto-SCP put out an order to seal it away, which lead to violent terrorist organization that continues trying to unearth, photograph, and spread the influence of the item to this day. Nobody's seen it since then; the organization keeps it in a locked, unmarked container that they move from place to place to deter attacks.

But writing is hard and I have a short attention span.

Cave that send out an emergency foundation signal, saying that no one has been doing the mandatory precautions, to make sure that things are still doing fine. It leads to an alternate universe where everything is dead. Everything, including, incorporeal things like ghosts, digital beings, like the sentient computer, and even immortal things. All at the same time.
Turns out that an agent form the that universes foundation, investigated their version of the cave, since they got the same signal from it, which lead to a similar dead universe. When he came back to report what he had found, everything in his universe, besides himself, died. It's implied that something travels with a host from each universe to the next, instantly killing everything in them. The "main"-SCP universe's team had to stay there, since they'd otherwise bring it to their universe.

>>91922306
Where does this shit come from? SCP-682 is the "hard to kill lizard". He's not the "super powerful lizard". He's not the "launch nukes from his mouth lizard". He's just very, very hard to kill, but otherwise he's only about as strong as a crocodile the size of a truck. His mutation thing only kicks in if it is needed to stop him from dying, he doesn't use it as a weapon.

Pretty much any Marvel hero could take him on. Spiderman alone could do it, easy. It would just be like fighting Killer Croc. Spiderman doesn't kill anyway so the mutation thing wouldn't happen

Remember that SCP682 is repeatedly captured by small teams of normal humans without too much trouble, and is contained perpetually by just leaving him in a vat of acid.

He constantly heals from the damage, but is constantly damaged at the same time. His body resists acid by using a Wolverine healing factor and just regenerating really fast.

Pretty much, this guy has one single attribute that's important; he has a magic power that makes him impossible to kill. That's it. The power doesn't try to get him out of a bad situation (like being trapped in a vat of acid), and it doesn't necessarily help him win a fight. It just does what it needs to do avoid death.

The SCP Foundation manages to keep the thing contained in a concrete bunker out in the boonies. Tony Stark or Reed Richards literally any of the 500 other meta-class intellects in the Marvel universe would devise a way to permanently contain or destroy 682 by the end of the day.

>shift away from Series 1-type Regular Thing With Anomalous Something What Kill You to This Is Super Weird What The Hell Is This
The thing is that this method of making SCPs only goes so far before it gets to be boring and kind of pedantic. I have always believed that SCPs should have SOME grounding in reality, but there needs to be some kind of middle ground between mundane horror and over-the-top surrealism. As far as format fuckery goes, I love messing with the format, and one of my most popular stories is predicated entirely on a format screw.
>Every fucking skip has a twist now
I love twists in SCPs, but I hate that they're a crutch for making something interesting. A twist is fine if it works in the narrative flow, but it can't just get thrown in because the author couldn't be arsed to create something interesting otherwise. An article should be able to stand up on its own merits without having to resort to the "gotcha!" moment.
>proliferation of GoIs
It actually makes me kind of sad how many GoIs there are, because when I was still active GoIs were only officially created when enough different authors took significant interest in the group in question, but now it seems like if you and two of your buddies just spam the group like there's no tomorrow you're guaranteed entry.
>centralization of SCPs
It just ties back to the overarching "there is no canon" rule of the site: if there is no canon, then a writer can jam whatever dumbass micro-canon into the series via multiple connected SCPs and suddenly the casual reader thinks it's part of the world as a whole.

>refusal to give candy results in "tricks," either egging the office door or toilet-papering the office
>prolonged refusal results in its area of effect being expanded outside the site to the surrounding neighborhood and starts targeting personnel who live off-site
>if refusal continues it starts mummifying houses in toilet paper or drenching them with eggs
>area of effect expands the longer candy is refused but it still only targets SCP personnel

I wish I had been aware of SCP back when it would have been possible to add entries. Don't know if it would be good enough, but I thought an escape artist would be cool. It'd be some sort of person or creature that just showed up in containment and then proceeded to explain exactly how it would break out. If given paper, it would spend its time writing out its exact plans for escape before turning them into the foundation. At that point it would be up to the foundation to alter the containment procedures to foil the plan and prevent escape, with the plans growing increasingly complex as containment became more secure. Should the foundation fail to prevent its escape, it would then breach containment of another seemingly random SCP as "penalty" before returning to its own containment.
>>

Bright is the body-switching immortal guy, right?

I thought he was classified as one only after messing with -963 or whatever the number is, because he was fused with the thing somehow. There's nothing anomalous about himself inherently IIRC.

Other anon seemed to imply their idea was that Clef was an SCP the entire time, hiding in plain sight.
>>
>>91926844
Is it really accessible to newcomers though? I assumed you'd have to go through some long process rather than just hopping into the community and throwing an entry in.
>>
>>91926381
This, I like there being safe SCPs sort of roaming the halls. There's a whimsical, Hogwarts aspect to it that counteracts the grimdark nicely.

I hate the notion that the universe containing anomalies mean 99% of them want to violently kill/eat you.

Like, statistically, there has to be at least a few friendly reality warpers who're not trying to enslave humanity or bring about the apocalypse.
>>
>>91926478
>hating interview logs
Don't most longer SCPs have them?

For me it's jump scare images. The whole point of the website is subtle, text-based horror, having a collapsible that when you open it is just a spoopy image reeks of laziness on the author's part.

Ex. the chess girls - great low-key SCP that devolves into a literal screamer.
>>
>>91918140

This would probably be an experiment and end up proving that it doesnt exist linearly. It would somehow stop you from altering its timeline.

But for a less cliche answer, though it doesn't RUIN it for me, is when unecessary data is censored. Like, a log date is _/15/2016.

Like, does it really fucking matter what month it is? Is it so important and immersive we don't know the month?

There are some cute pet SCP, and some that are helpful, but in general I don't think it agrees with the aesthetic of the foundation to let things wander around in restricted areas. The organization is bureaucratic and sterile as possible, and I prefer it when the comedy and lightheartedness comes from the scientists being too curious and taking experiments too far.
>>
>>91927430
Apparently that's also true.

IIRC, it goes like this (roughly)

>Clef is a young man who runs across a nature goddess
>She's actually nice and they get along
>Unbeknownst to him, she ends up pregnant
>He goes off (I don't remember why) and joins the GOC as a junior agent
>One mission has him lead a task force to kill his former love, because she tried to undo all technological progress and bring humanity back to nature or some shit
>They kill her (something which still haunts him) but he manages to save his newfound daughter
>This is why I think he quits the GOC and goes to the Foundation
>He takes her to a monastery to be raised away from the GOC, and she's never told who her parents were

All told, it's surprisingly coherent for a background narrative. The only really cringy part is the nature goddess falling in love with him.
>>

>>
>>91927491
Not exactly. Pretty much it has any power that would be required for it to not die at any given time, and a weak healing factor. Otherwise it can't really do anything other than what a large crocodile can do.

So, sometimes it has a healing factor stronger than Wolverine, but if it isn't using it it doesn't have it. Normally it can be hurt by hitting it with a club or a knife, but if you throw it into a black hole it would make itself so durable it could survive infinite pressure.

It's more of a "magic/divine" thing than a "sci-fi/comic book" thing

Only way to take down a reality warper is to kill them before they realize you're trying to kill them. So you have a sniper team blow the warper's head off from half a mile away. The sound of the gunshot hasn't even had time to reach the warper's ears before the bullet is passing between them.
>>
>>91929159
I was looking for that one earlier today.

I agree, I much prefer those to the "This is going to kill the world in x years!!!1" -1877 is done by the same author, and is apparently "the same phenomenon from a different angle", in case you hadn't encountered it before.

I think my all-time favorite "just plain weird" is the one that's written almost like a tale, about a Colombian (Cuban?) painter who paints mildly anomalous paintings, told from the story of the agent who goes deep undercover and befriends him.

The guy has no idea his paintings are mildly anomalous, he's not a hazard to anyone, and the two become genuine friends. The article ends with the painter dying from old age or something, with his best friend by his side, having never found out the truth about any of that.

More Magical Realism than Lovecraftian Horror, very different from mainstream SCPs. I felt a lot of feels that day.

That was a joke article about a medieval style catapult that was able to throw things into the sun for disposal. Into the fiery orb with ye, etc.

"What if the weird had an organization of their own?"

The Serpent's Hand is like PETA for the anomalous, trying to free them not out of malice or occult reasons, but because they're sentient entities and they deserve to be free.

The Serpent's Hand has access to an interdimensional library where all sorts of weird beings congregate to learn and interact. Because the SH are friendly to anomalies they're welcome there.

I like the SH because the Library tales really do show a lot of these anomalies are dangerous but not inherently evil, and can be contained/utilized properly with the right know-how. You get this sense that the Foundation is a bunch of blind idiots fucking their way through a delicate magical balance and the Library is just sighing throughout.

Now if you want to talk about a group that went nowhere, try the Chaos Insurgency.

Early on it seemed like they were being set up as a foil for the Foundation, using anomalies to gain power and influence, like HYDRA or something. Turns out it's too vanilla compared to The Factory, Fifthism, CotBG etc. and very few skips even mention them anymore. Usually you get like a oneliner "potential Chaos Insurgency involvement".

It's a shame, you could do a lot with a Classically Evil Foundation.

I don't know the timeline involved, as this is way before my time, but it seems like the whole "rival counter-anomalous organization" spot was taken by the GOC.

Have you read the entry about the chair? It was an innocent chair that appeared for people who wanted to sit down. Then they threw it in a wood chipper and it became a bunch of angry and scared wood chips with the ability to teleport into people's lungs with the slightest provocation. The lesson is supposed to be that since they know so little about SCPs, attempted destruction of them can potentially make them much more dangerous.

They've destroyed many SCPs, though mostly for meta reasons.

It's not like they're forbidden from doing so, but they go the "better safe than sorry" route. 2317 shows what happens when you manhandle an SCP you end up permanently damaging the containment for an elder god and now they can't get it fixed.

The whole point of SCPs is that they're anomalous, meaning they have no idea what would happen if they tried to destroy it. Say 087, the one with the infinite staircase. They manage to destroy the entity within. Turns out it was benevolent and was the only thing keeping 087-FUCK at bay. It goes outside and eats Earth.

You see my point.

They're willing to destroy anomalous locations, it seems (I'm thinking of the house with evil shadows collecting/eating hearts that a D-class took out), and individual manifestations of a general SCP object, but the object/entity itself is generally contained.

Who know, if push comes to shove, you can use some of them against other threats (like in one 001 proposal).
>>
>>91930978

Resistant doesn't mean immune. You don't have to rely on said magic or reality warping for direct damage. Worse for him is even if he can adapt to magic/reality warping if applied directly it would require him surviving the initial exposure to have anything left to adapt. Since he's the freak of the weak guest star meant to be a threat until the heroes come up with a way to stop him he will NOT have Wolverine's extreme plot armor that allows the Canadian hairball to restore himself from a single cell or less. And sure Wolverine has died and become an old man to make way for his female clone counterpart among others, but that's editorial hijinks removing plot armor for their diversity push of "legacy" characters, which frankly is the most powerful reality warping no being can resist.

Also that wish granting SCP just sounds lazy or pretty shitballs weak. True reality warping wouldn't be a direct attack when you could just change his SCP entry back in time from the moment of its earliest inception so that all his fantabulous powers never existed in the first place. Or the person who thought it up suffers from sudden spontaneous head eruption before they ever have the idea. Try to adapt to that one, ya bitch.

That's how he was supposed to work
In the beginning, he wasn't supposed to be super Amazo Kirby that could absorb and adapt instantly to everything, just an angry fuckoff lizard that hated people

But he got popular. People were encouraged to write their own logs about attempts made to destroy him, and that kind of thing inevitably makes an article go to shit. When the site got a massive burst in popularity, it was the cool thing to do for every kiddy who had no idea what 682 was supposed to be about to write some crazy-ass story about him adapting instantly to everything ever

The same thing happened to Dr. Clef, by the way. He quoted the Rolling Stones maybe once during Termination Order, and then everybody pushed him into meme status by making him into a hyper-cool unstoppable badass who is literally satan. It got to the point where the dude writing Clef got sick of it, and had to actively write him as being incompetent in areas. There was even a fucking site contest about who could write the best story where Dr. Clef died, but nobody remembers that.

I feel like SOMETHING should be done with SCP-186 "To End All Wars". It's one of my favorite SCPs and I still love to reread it.

"I should have run away so many times. The Frenchman gave us a new gas weapon. We refused at first, remembering what had happened in Romania. But he promised us that this was different, that this would put our enemies down without harming them. Who wants any more bloodshed, he asked us. We could not argue with that. We fired mortars at a position ahead of us. A strange blue gas seeped from behind the trees, but the Frenchman cautioned us against advancing. One more thing, he said. He took one of our rifles, and taking aim took a single shot. Before we could ask what a scientist could know of shooting, we heard a scream. He had hit one of the Germans.

He handed me a pair of field glasses. Take a look, he said. I saw the German missing half of his head, still screaming. I have seen everything in this war, but I have never seen faces like those of that German's fellows as they watched their comrade. The Frenchman, in his terrible calm voice, explained that his shot had to have destroyed at least a quarter of the soldier's brain tissue. Enough to cause instant death, he said. But watch.

I kept watching through the field glasses. The German didn't stop screaming. At least ten minutes I watched, unable to move away. The Frenchman smiled. He smiled at this scene. The gas, he said, ensured that death would not come, regardless of injury. The Germans were too horrifed by their comrade to notice that they were not behind cover, and the Frenchman lined up another shot. The rest of the soldier's head was now gone, and the screaming was replaced by some sort of low grunting, the likes of which I have never heard from men.

No, the Frenchman said, no harm at all. I have bestowed the gift of life on your opponents. Who could possibly stand against that, he asked."

That thing's okay but not the best. The best and most insidious is still The Internet.

An invasive idea that seems truly beneficial at first with infinite possibilities including downloading free shit like music, game, and porn! But in later stages it develops shit like twitter and facebook, allowing interconnection between individuals on hitherto unparalleled levels, only to realize we can't stand each other. Then it starts engineering social movements like alt-right, sjw, gamergate, pro-skub vs anti-skub, 4chan, MEEEEMES, just to name a few! Now your entire life revolves around it from socializing to banking to news information to all things culture. The only way to resist is to unplug your entire life but then you'll never be hip or "with it" and might as well be dead anyway.

You only winning move is not to play, so an hero yourself.

What if you are at child at heart? Is that because the hug bear hid the fetus heart inside you?

I feel like teddy bears using people to smuggle baby hearts via surgery, while creepy, isn't necessarily up to the usual standards for these things.

Maybe if the surgically implanted baby hearts also slowly take over the host body so if you don't get them removed in time you crumble into a group of babies equivalent to the number of implanted baby hearts? The babies just want to live, dammit, and their collective will to live is stronger than an adult heart crusted over with years of cynicism.

Hold on, here it is-
>seven seals, seven rings. seven brides for the scarlet King
>they gather round the natal bed, the foolish and the wise. they fear the child yet to be born, whose voice shall rend the skies
>the faithful watch the forest for the coming of the King. their lanterns bright, they wait at night for the new world he shall bring
>the dragon waits in shadows, his breath will scorch the land. the hero in the castle draws his sword and makes his stand
>the princess in the tower is hidden far away. but nothing under heaven can keep The Groom at bay
>Luke 23:34
>they gather round with leering smiles, the soulless and the dead. though her soul unwinds, the cruelest minds will keep her in her bed
>the potter told his 'prentice to prepare him seven jars. six he made with grace and skill, the last his hands did mar
>the cretin moon no more is howling, gone its mourning black. in their dreams its face is prowling, come to take them back
>six were broken by their bindings six no more shall sing. comes the seventh full unwinding and all the bells will ring
>when the first had given birth, then all the birds did sing. her screaming cries did shake the skies, as she called out for her King
>by doctor's blade the second bade a life into the world. untimely hewn neath a silent moon, the King's red flag unfurled
>his bride the third remained unheard, her cries for help ignored. she stopped her life with a surgeon's knife, and gave it to Our Lord
>the fourth prepares a dagger and places it at her heart. the perfect cure cannot make pure what the King has set apart
>the fifth one's crown was bearing down upon the fox's set. the den was sundered with mighty thunder, an apocalypse beget
>on the sixth's day, the walls gave way, and the oceans turned to ash. her birth gave work, as the earth shook, underneath the King's fell lash
>the seventh bride will break the tides the moon no more will shine. there comes a day not far away she'll birth the death of time
ETC

>>
>>91921675
a mechanic where your facility gets attacked by a rouge organization trying to take the scips would be pretty cool,

or you have to manage public awareness and keep a low profile, call in government favors when needed, for example a super dangerous scip is hidden away in some small but armed island nation you don't have access to, so you have a government declare war on them as a cover for your guys going in and taking away the scip (I like the idea of something super dark like that, where because it's either so dangerous or your organisation is so cold, that a large loss of human life and a region destabilized is acceptable to capture the scip)

I don't know, I mean if something is that magical/otherworldly that it teleports despite otherwise looking like a normal chair it feels like chucking it in a wood chipper was the least effective effective means of destroying it outside of finding the allen wrench and disassembling it. In fact it seems like someone was just going out of their way to see if they could create a bunch of teleporting murder splinters.

Honestly, can you blame the Foundation for not trusting a bunch of glue-eaters like the GOC?
Sentient chair that's nothing but helpful to people? Let's toss it in a wood chipper, that should take care of it. Friendly living boats that play with whales? Fucking torpedo them, they're clearly a threat to all life. I'll give them a pass on 2002, it was hurtling towards Earth and nobody knew what it was, but they still fucked up big on that one.
>>
>>91931520
I'm surprised they don't use more weapons put through it on fine. Very fine might be too dangerous considering it turned that hand gun into a disintegration ray, but fine should be okay.

do they actually kill the D-Class or is just a lie they tell to keep them in line?
