I honestly thought the second part of this show was better. I enjoyed the art style more and enjoyed the ending. American Dragon would have been way better if all the episodes (or most of them) added to a main plot.

I don't think is bad, though. It is kind of repetitive, I know. But is still funny and has good action. At least, in portuguese had a lot of charisma, thanks to the brazilian dubbers.

I remember it was a lot like the stuff that was on at the time. Formulaic monster/bad guy fighting with some teen drama sprinkled in. Tried too hard to be "hip" with the kids. It wasn't bad but it certainly brought nothing new to the table.

The dragon's design was the only thing that got my attention. Then they did a complete 180 on the art style and I lost all interest.

the biggest missed oppertunity with the show is that he has to make sure that dragons arn't discovered by humans but yet he flys around new york and no one seems to notice if he was forced to be a hero while avoiding everybody's sight on the surface that would have been interesting.
